Some Tips On How to Make Your Facebook App Succeed

Facebook is fast becoming the most widely used social platform that we have today as well as the chosen platform for marketers to enhance their brand’s identity and reach out to their target audience. Besides the Facebook’s fan pages, apps on Facebook are a great way to get people to notice you. But there are certain things to keep in mind if you want to be successful with your app.

Be Different: There are constantly more applications being added to Facebook, so there are lots of duplicates. Many of these apps are me-toos trying to gain attention but that’s not possible without offering something unique.

Facebook Apps CanvasYou simply add to the junk available on Facebook if the app you create is practically useless. You need to make the most out of the Facebook platform and offer a really intense app that is different from all the others. You can do this by adding your own creative twists to existing ideas to make them more enticing. Your format and approach should be different so you can attract users to your app. So don’t worry about being completely original, but work on adapting existing ideas to create something unique.

Strong Programming: The program behind your app is the engine and it needs to be solid.

Your application should be glitch-free and needs to work seamlessly without any major problems. To get the most out of the Facebook developer platform, take time to learn and understand how it works. It’s a good idea to find a developer who specializes in Facebook apps if you’re not one. It’s really important that the programming behind the application works flawlessly. But it’s worth the time you spend to learn the developer platform or to find a Facebook specialized programmer to help you.

What you do want to also do is setup tracking with your app so you know how many people are using it. As your app grows, this data will prove to be highly useful for further development and to make it more engaging. Some people create formal tracking records so they can easily see how their app is performing.

Making your Facebook app successful largely depends on your approach, so make sure each and every step of yours is calculative.

Is ZQuiet the Snoring Cure for a Peaceful Good Night’s Sleep?

ZQuiet is an inexpensive FDA approved anti-snoring device. Snoring rattles the walls in our home about three months out of the year. I would like to tell you that it is my wife that prevents our family from having a good night’s sleep, but that wouldn’t be the truth!

Every year around the months of August to October, I suffer from allergies. My nasal passages become swollen making it difficult for me to breathe. As much as I hate to admit it, I am the loudest snorer in this household…at least during this time of the year. I won’t admit to anything outside of this time frame! Does this dilemma sound familiar? If not, there are many other medical and non- medical conditions that can cause snoring.

This ZQuiet review will discuss vital facts regarding snoring, as well as the critical results revealed about how snoring affects your health. There are many natural snoring relief sprays, devices, and liquids available on the market today. While they may work, some of the anti-snoring devices are bulky and too uncomfortable to have on during sleep.zquiet mouth piece stop snoring

Is this instant natural snoring mouthpiece a remedy that will work for you? Regardless on whether you are considering buying this snoring mouthpiece or not, it is important that you understand the serious facts uncovered about how snoring can affect your overall health. Do not ignore your condition. Talk to your doctor to determine the actual cause of this embarrassing problem.

ZQuiet Design Features

Dr. Avery Lieberman, DDS, a dental sleep specialist, helped to create this mouthguard. It is made of thermoplastic elastomer, which has passed safety testing by the FDA. This means it does not contain harmful materials, such as latex or BPA (Bisphenol A). According to the FDA, this snoring device does what it claims it will do.

This one-piece anti-snoring device has unique design features that sets it apart from others. It has a lower jaw forward extension (Lower Mandibular), as well as a hinge (Living Hinge) located at the back of the device. Because this hinge is located towards the back, it allows you to breath through your mouth once it is in place making it easier and more comfortable to use during sleep.

How it Helps to Stop Snoring

The noise from snoring is created by the vibration of soft tissue in the back of your throat. When you fall asleep, the muscles in the roof of your mouth, tongue, and throat relax. This can cause an obstruction in your airway. ZQuiet eliminates this vibration by widening the air passage so the tissue is not as impinged. It holds your lower jaw slightly open while you are sleeping.

I really liked this video I found on YouTube that has an interview with the inventor Dr. Avery Lieberman.

Possible Causes for Snoring

While there are a number of possible causes your airway can become obstructed, the following are the most common reasons. Some are more serious than others:

  • Sleep Apnea
  • Weight Gain/Obesity
  • Alcohol Consumption/Sleeping Pills/Smoking
  • Nasal Airway Obstruction
  • Poor Throat and Tongue Muscle Tone
  • Long Uvula and Soft Palate
  • Thick and/or Bulky Throat Tissue

While some of these causes may be harmless , sleep apnea, obesity, alcohol consumption, and smoking can lead to more serious health conditions.

Effects of Snoring

Why is it important to address the issue of snoring? Isn’t it just a nuisance that you and your family must deal with? My mom has been dealing with my dad’s snoring for as long as I can remember. I remember literally feeling the walls rattle when I lived at home. In fact, most of the time my dad ended up in the spare bedroom. This alone can destroy a marriage, and I was surprised to learn that this is an extremely common issue for many married couples. I haven’t been kicked out of my room yet, but I think it might have been an option if we actually had a spare bedroom!

Years later, my dad finally went to the doctor. He was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS) and obesity. Research regarding sleep apnea snoring really took me by surprise. Did you know that if you have sleep apnea you actually stop breathing for short periods of time (approximately 10 to 20 seconds) meaning your brain and the rest of your body may not be getting enough oxygen? This can happen hundreds of times during your sleep! That was scary enough, but then I learned that this cessation in breathing links sleep apnea with the following:

  • Cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heart beating pattern)
  • Decrease in blood oxygen levels
  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Diabetes
  • Heart failure
  • Heart attacks

The words “stroke” and “heart attack” should be enough to get you on the phone to your doctor if you are someone who suffers from snoring. However, just because you are a snorer does not mean you have sleep apnea. It does mean you are a candidate and should be tested to ensure proper treatment.

If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, this anti-snoring device could be helpful. However, it is extremely important that you speak with your doctor before trying any product. This medical condition can lead to serious health complications, and you may need more in-depth treatment.

Believe it or not, snoring can actually cause depression and changes in personality due to the disturbances in sleep. This does not only apply to the snorer, but the sleeping partner, as well. People who do not get adequate sleep are often irritable and resentful of the person causing the disturbance.

Men vs. Women

It appears that men snore more than women. This is not to say that women do not snore; however, it is more often reported in men than women. This could be because men tend to be referred for a sleep study more often than women. Why? Doctors must rely on their patients to report their symptoms. Men are more apt to report snoring than women, thus being referred for a sleep study more often.

Women tend to hide snoring from embarrassment and seek over-the-counter alternatives more often before seeking medical help. Many times a woman is misdiagnosed because she will report the symptoms of snoring, rather than the snoring itself. A woman is more likely to report daytime fatigue, insomnia, depression, headaches, and tension, which leads the doctor to treat for these symptoms, rather than the underlying issue of sleep apnea.

Age does tend to increase the occurrence of snoring. Snoring increases significantly in middle-aged men. However, women tend to become chronic snorers a little later, especially after menopause (approximately 60 to 64 years).

Men tend to have a higher proportion of fat located around the neck than women. Men also have a greater mass of fat in the soft palate and upper part of the tongue, while women tend to have greater volume in the lower part of the airway.

Natural Snoring Relief

There are natural alternatives you can try before you invest in an anti-snoring device. If these ideas do not work, make sure to determine the cause. Here are just a few ideas:

  • Lose weight
  • Stop smoking
  • Avoid alcohol before bedtime
  • Put pillows under your head
  • Avoid sleeping on your back
  • Blow your nose before bed to clear nasal passages

If you suffer from allergies like me, blowing your nose may help. However, it doesn’t work for me because my nasal passages are swollen. There are allergy medications that can help with the swelling, but don’t confuse swelling with mucus.

Allergy sufferers tend to purchase medications that thin the mucus expecting it to work. It will not likely work if your nasal passages are swollen. If none of these ideas work, then there are natural snoring cures, such as sprays and devices you can try like ZQuiet.

Bottom Line

It is not clear how long this product lasts; however, the company states that every person is different and it can last up to many months with nightly use. You will need to replace it sooner if you tend to grind your teeth at night. This snoring mouthpiece is not intended for people with full dentures.

Does it hurt? According to the site, there is generally an adjustment period that can be a few hours to a few weeks depending on the person. You may feel discomfort during this adjustment period, but it should not be unbearable. The discomfort should also cease once the mouthpiece is removed.

The company provides a 30 day trial for only $9.95 that begins on the day you actually receive it. After 35 days, your credit card will be billed a one time payment of $59.95 unless you contact them prior to this time period. With this shipment, you will receive the mouthpiece, travel case, and instructions.

If snoring is a problem in your household, it is extremely important that you do not ignore it. Whether you are the snorer or your sleeping partner is the culprit, this issue can cause mental, emotional, and physical conditions that could be serious. While there are many cheap anti-snoring devices on the market today, they are not all FDA approved. ZQuiet has been tested for its safety and effectiveness, which means it will help you stop snoring. A peaceful good night’s sleep really is possible!

During My Sensa Review I Found Shocking Facts I Uncovered about this Sprinkle Diet

sensa reviewI tend to not eat very well being kind of a tech geek and my buddies wife was on the Sensa diet and over for dinner one night. She was really talking it up.  Well, this got me pretty excited and I decided to do a bit of research to see if I could just sprinkle some magic dust on my food and lost weight.  Afterall, it was working for her, right?

I have to admit, I was one that actually almost fell for the hype over the Sensa weight loss system.  This revolutionary diet has swept the Internet with raving customer reviews.  After all, who wouldn’t want to be able to lose weight by simply shaking a tasty spice over those “forbidden” foods they love?

After filtering through tons of fake reviews, I finally found unbiased customer experiences.  This does not mean I will not pay attention to the positive consumer reviews I find; however, I am a little leery when that is all I find.  I learned a long time ago that anyone can post a review, so the source of any review is important.  I did really like the review provided by So you may want to read their review as well as what I have to say still.

To be fair, I will give you the facts about this weight loss system.  However, I cannot ignore the shocking number of  complaints.  Is this a weight loss supplement destined to help you lose weight, or is it yet another weight loss scam?  Only you can decide if this weight loss program will work for you.  Keep in mind, every person reacts differently, even to leading diet supplements found on the market today.

Sprinkle Diet – The Basics

These sprinkles, created by Dr. Alan Hirsch, MD, are actually food flakes that are made from maltodextrin, tricalcium  phosphate, silica, and different flavors.  Some of the flavors available include:

  • cheddar cheese
  • onion
  • horseradish
  • ranch dressing
  • taco
  • Parmesan cheese

  • cocoa
  • spearmint
  • banana strawberry
  • raspberry
  • malt

Simply sprinkle a small amount over commonly consumed foods to enhance the scent and flavor.  This dietary supplement is supposed to work  by tricking your brain into believing you are full resulting in less calories being consumed.  I have to admit, this concept for weight loss is nice if it actually works.

The cost of Sensa depends on where you purchase it.  The first month costs approximately $40.  A two month supply will cost  approximately $70.  However, the cost goes up each month until the 6th month at approximately $59 per month.  I can already tell you that this is a bit too high for me, especially with all of the negative consumer reviews I keep finding.

Controversial Reviews

The Internet is full of controversial Sprinkle Diet reviews.  This leads me to believe that many of the positive customer reviews are possibly created by paid writers.  However, I am also not one to dismiss someone’s positive experience.  Who am I to say that a person didn’t experience something positive with these diet supplements?  However, I am also not one to ignore the negative experiences. In fact, the negative experiences are the ones that I tend to pay more attention to.

It is shocking at how many  negative reviews I found.  One after the other had something negative to say.  The majority of them had complaints that the product simply did not work.  Some people actually complained of gaining weight.

Some people reported that the product succeeded in making them feel full in the first couple of weeks, but after a period of time the affect it had was gone.  The company does admit that your brain will overcome the effects, which is why they created a different sprinkle for the second month.  It appears the second sprinkle had no effects.

There were conflicting reports on the customer service.  Some people had no problems at all getting their money back, while others were still waiting for money 8 months later!  I guess it depends on the person you get on the other line.

The only physical side effects I found while sifting through these unbiased reviews was the potential for diarrhea and stomach discomfort.  This weight loss program will affect people differently, so there is no way to tell if this will happen to you or not.

Conflicting Facts

One disturbing piece of information I found is in regards to the integrity of the company.  The company claims this product is clinically proven to work.  Dr. Alan Hirsch conducted a study of 1,436 people.  These people tried the sprinkle diet for six months.  The results of the study indicated users lost an average of 30 ½ pounds.  100 people were actually given fake food flakes and only lost an average of two pounds.  In this study, it appears that this weight loss supplement did its job.

This is where I became a little skeptical.  The study was presented at a 2008 Endocrine Society meeting; however, the Endocrine Society does not admit to actually reviewing the study.  According to an August 1, 2008 ABC news article, the Endocrine Society were “surprised and troubled by the promotional nature of his presentation.”  They do admit to inviting Dr. Hirsch to present his findings for debate; however, the study was not actually reviewed at this time.

Final Thoughts

It would be nice to be able to eat all of your favorite foods and still lose weight.  Let’s face it.  You have to reduce calories, increase nutrient dense foods, and increase your activity to really lose weight.  I do believe that many of the leading diet supplements found on the market today can be an effective tool for helping with weight loss; however, I also feel you need to do your part by changing your eating and exercise habits.

I do not believe you can eat anything and everything you want and still lose weight by sprinkling magic dust on your food. I am also highly skeptical about the integrity of the company itself.  It appears they misled people into thinking the Endocrine Society approved their clinical study.  This is not the case.

People do have different experiences with this product.  It appears to be safe for consumption.  If you want to give it a try, it will likely not cause any serious side effects.  However, the other ingredients could possibly interfere with medications.  It can also cause problems for those who have certain health conditions.  I highly recommend you contact your doctor before you consider using Sensa.
